Daegwangsa Choir, started in 2001 together with a great conductor, studies music to convey the teachings of Buddha through sound.

Daegwangsa Tea Ceremony
Though Daegwangsa’s Tea Ceremony the aim is the stabilize the mind and body and strengthen harmony between lay people.

Daegwangsa Lotus Flower Group
The Lotus Flower Group was founded in 2019 and consists of an informative team and volunteer team. The Lotus Flower Group provides information to lay people during Buddhist services and prepares flower offerings to the Buddha as well as cleaning before and after Buddhist services and various other activities.
The group aims to work together to assist lay people at the temple with a warm and welcoming presence.

Daegwangsa Youth Association
Cheontae Order’s Daegwangsa Youth Association gather together to learn about the truth of Buddha’s teachings.
We encourage participation from those in their 20s to 40s.

Daegwangsa Student Meeting
A child’s mind has yet to give rise to sensual desires so they are closest to the pure heart of Buddha. At Daegwangsa’s Student Meeting the aim is to take this pure mind of Buddha’s teachings together with along with naturally immersing in Buddha’s practice. Every month on the 2nd and 4th Sunday from 10:30am a female monk visits from Guinsa to give a Buddhist lecture for the students.
Located beneath Bulgok Mountain, the central theme is “Let’s play at the temple”. Through various programs such as Buddhist culture and practice at the temple, sports competitions, writing and drawing competitions, summer and winter Buddhist school, historical learning and learning about the importance of community.
To help Cheontae Buddhists to plant and cultivate the seed of Buddha’s teaching from an early age we learn about manners, rules, how to share, value oneself, give and live in harmony. There is a guidance teacher, classroom teacher, a children’s club leader and child department. The children of the Cheontae Order are considered to be the future of Korean Buddhism and are thought of as a flower to be nurtured.
